Awesome ! This TV surpassed my expectations. It has everything except 3d and web apps ( making it a so called smart). I just finished watching the 3 Musketeers 4 , which looked like 3d on this TV . I also own a Panasonic 42″ST30 , this Samsung surpasses it in picture quality . If you are in need of a matte finish TV for a bright room look no further . Lots of comments about Automotion plus , it can be easily turned off , I find it pretty cool in clear mode for sports and movies. I have no problem with the sound from this TV , thought I might need a sound bar , but to my delight sound is adequate for a 13′ X 20′ room sitting 12′ away. I only have mine turned up to 14 with Clear Voice. I also used usb port with Western Digital passport hard drive to watch AVI and MKV files no problems . Have my HTPC ( Playon media software)hooked up to ethernet port, sees all my stored TV shows and movies . For its size , features , picture quality , price point $800 (Amazon) , this TV is awesome . The only thing that could make it better is if Samsung made a 55″ version of this model . Thank you Amazon for the free delivery , ordered Wednesday night 6pm , arrived Saturday 12 pm by Fedex. Oh did I mention this TV is Awesome!
Picked this up at best buy, February 22, 2012 – By Gatorad3
I had a 100 dollar gift card to best buy…thats really the only reason I didn’t get it from here. I have had the t.v. for about a month now and am so glad I went with this one over the 47 inch LG i was looking at. The 4 hdmi slots are perfect for my ps3 and xbox. I have not hooked up my surround sound yet since I am moving but hopefully it transistions well once I get into my new place. The color and menu options make it so you can really customize this set. I would reccomend this to anyone one of my friends…no other T.V. can compare to this samsung’s picture and its not even LED!

Samsung LN46D630 Great TV
I have been looking for an LCD TV for 5 years that met my standards. I found that all the brands have weakness in some form or fashion,resolution speed to slow, burn in, blur, blacks are gray/blue, side lit, brand name cost, weak sound, bad 3D, internet capability, WiFi, widgets, heat energy given off, corner spot lights, glare, and cheapen components to cut cost. I found you had to pay approx. 4K-5K and I was not willing to do this. I did find an gem of a TV that meets a lot of these qualities but not all. It is not the lastest or greatest but it is a great buy with solid features with fantastic picture and sound. I do have a 5.1 sound system attached but only use it when I watch one of those great sound effect movies. I also got a steal of a deal @ $850. This is a bedroom tv but would be great in the den as well. Checking this out would be worth the time. I also put a 3 year warranty just in case a pixel went out or line of resolution showed up. I am very satisfied.
